The Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI) is a collaborative joint venture (based in Australia) that works with industry, government and the education and science sectors to produce business outcomes and benefits for participants involved in the spatial sector.
This exciting new role has been established within Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) on behalf of the geospatial information community to create a presence for CRCSI in New Zealand and to grow New Zealand collaborative ventures with into and beyond the initial CRCSI Australia base.
You will demonstrate:
• In depth knowledge of the spatial industry and the key players in New Zealand across government, academia and business
• An understanding the needs and drivers of the different sectors of the spatial information community
• Excellent relationship management skills across a variety of situations with well developed influencing skills
• A pragmatic approach
• Business and commercial acumen
• Proven ability to operate successfully when all the detail is not known
It will be essential for the Director CRCSI New Zealand to have, or to quickly establish, trust and credibility in all sectors of the spatial community. This role will be based at LINZ's National Office in Wellington, New Zealand.
