Natural Resource Information (NRI) section is looking to fill the above role until the 31st June 2010. The position requires an experienced information manager with spatial data expertise to manage the delivery of outputs and resources of the NRI and coordinate spatial information requirements across the Authority. It involves liaison and coordination activities with MDBA internal managers and staff, consultants and external stakeholders and the NRI team. The occupant will also be responsible for supporting the NRI Web Mapping and Corporate Spatial Information Management projects on daily-basis.
Duties include:
•Degree or postgraduate qualifications in geomatics (GIS or Remote Sensing), computer science, natural resource management or related discipline.
•Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
•Experience in GIS data structures, modelling tools, principles of the science of spatial information and cartographic presentation of spatial data
•Experience in the use of various spatial software applications such as ArcGIS and ArcSDE
