Job Description



Our NT Government Client is seeking experienced GIS Analysts for ad-hoc GIS consulting and support over a three year period.

There is a requirement for a resource for ad-hoc data collection and development work, on an “as required” basis.

Our client has a combination of GIS Systems in place including:

* The main GIS System is an Intergraph Computer Aided Dispatch system. This system is used to provide Spatial and attribute datasets
* GIS services are provided by the use of MapInfo and Map Intelligence to produce ad-hoc maps, management and operational maps.
* A MapInfo Map Extreme server is maintained for integration with various in-house systems. Additional Map Extreme functionality can be provided by development of Java based applications.
* They also have a focus around understanding what GIS data is available in agencies and increasing their use of Google Earth (Enterprise). There may or may not be additional development work coming out of these activities.

Our client is seeking someone with a wide range of skills. To be considered please address the selection criteria below.

1. Demonstrated ability and experience in using, implementing and deploying GIS.
2. Demonstrated experience in the development of map layers.
3. Knowledge and experience with MapInfo or comparable mapping products.
4. Experience with Intergraph mapping products.
5. Experience with MapInfo Map Extreme.
6. Demonstrated experience with Google Earth Enterprise.
7. Demonstrated experience in the provision of GIS services within an emergency service environment
