Sales Director, SE Asia & Australia

Functions:

The Sales Director, SE Asia & Australia is responsible for identifying and closing new business in commercial and governmental accounts across Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia by selling commercial and consumer based products. The Director is also responsible for achieving unit and dollar volume objectives by developing and maintaining high customer satisfaction through the establishment of effective business relationships with customers, prospective customers and major influencers and is responsible for supporting marketing strategies by using and assisting in the development of marketing programs to increase sales and market penetration to meet profit goals.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Develops and executes a winning sales strategy for the territory as well as for major commercial accounts;
* Develops and executes a channel centric 'got to market' plan for SEA and Australia;
* Covers all end users in a specific geographic region for product presentation, product training, and complete DEM related solutions mining;
* Follows all new activity in geographical area;
* Influences end users and commercial accounts;
* Provides training to end users;
* Develops and maintains current list of prospective customers;
* Reviews existing account to determine their performance trends and growth potential;
* Effectively manages distributors and channels to maximize results and minimize conflicts;
* Utilizes and assists in developing effective marketing programs to increase sales and market penetration so as to meet profit goals;
* Provides up to date knowledge of the Geospatial/ GIS industry and incorporates into account plans;
* Controls expenses within established budget goals and submits monthly expense reports;
* Assists in planning for and participates in trade shows and other promotional activities;
* Maintains up to date territory file of all business contacts and accounts;
* Develops and extends job quotes to meet competitive situations;
* Effectively adheres to and leads efforts at providing accurate forecasting.

Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS related field or Business Administration;
* Strong knowledge and experience conducting business in SEA and Australia;
* A proven sales leader with strong contacts in SEA and Australia in mapping and related government agencies;
* Demonstrated ability to make effective presentations in large or small group settings;
* Demonstrated sales successes as a sales representative or through equivalent experience;
* Demonstrated track record of initiative and organizational skills;
* Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the year;
* Deep knowledge and experience within the GIS and/or related industries, strong technical product knowledge is an asset;
* Demonstrated success in using marketing programs to generate increased sales volume;
* Possesses knowledge of competitor products and strategies;
